Located in the picturesque riverside village of Benifallet, our 4 bedroom traditional townhouse is just 250 metres from the River Ebro and is the ideal base for your rural Spanish holiday. Sleeps 8/10
Tastefully decorated, with wooden beams, a large terrace and a balcony. This is a spacious and comfortable house for a relaxed holiday.
Spacious living room with balcony, 2 sofas and chairs, dining table for 10, fireplace for winter months and TV.
Kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Large terrace at back of house, looking on to an open area and orange grove. Equipped with table and chairs for al fresco dining.
Bedroom 1 is on the first floor at the back of the house, and has a double bed.
The other bedrooms are on the 2nd floor:
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a sofabed.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed and single bed.

Surrounded by some of south Catalonia´s finest mountain scenery, Benifallet is ideal for walkers, nature lovers, history enthusiasts and anglers, while the Costa Dorada´s sandy beaches and hidden coves are 25 minutes´ drive away.
Benifallet is about a half hour drive from quiet, sandy beaches and pebble coves such as Cala Moros, Platja de Santa Llucia, Platja de Morro de Gos and Cap Roig, all usually uncrowded even in summer. At 35 minutes the Ebro delta natural park has endless beaches, sand dunes, lagoons and rice fields and is home to many species of birds.
Reus airport (50-55 minutes´ drive) has Ryanair flights from variou UK destinations, Frankfurt, Dublin, Paris, Brussels and 5 Spanish airports.
Barcelona airport: 2 hours
Spain´s high speed AVE train now connects Barcelona, Madrid, Camp de Tarragona, Lleida, Sarragosa with Andalucia and northern Spain.
The nearest regular RENFE rail station is l´Ametlla de Mar (25 min) and Mora la Nova (25 min); both have trains to Barcelona.
A car is essential for beaches and explore the surrounding area.
Benifallet is a friendly village and has no less than five restaurants, offering Catalan cuisine for all tastes and pockets.
The house is close to Benifallet´s attractive municipal swimming pool, which opens daily from late June to early September. There is a small pool for toddlers, and a bar that serves snacks.
Fishing - the river Ebro offers some of Europe´s finest fishing and is famed for its impressive carp and huge catfish. We can help organise guided fishing tours.
Coves Meravelles - a few minutes´ drive from Benifallet these unusual caves feature extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite formations. There is also a lovely barbecue area, stone tables and a bar: ideal for a relaxed afternoon picnic.
This whole area is superb hiking country, with signposted trails through the hills and the mountains of the Els Ports natural parks and Cardó sierra. The Via Verde greenway is an old railway line, now converted into a cycling, walking and horseriding trail, and runs through some of the area´s best and most dramatic scenery.
The fascinating landscapes of the Ebro delta natural park are home to flamingos and many other species, and are ideal for birdwatching, cycling (except in summer) or a seafood lunch or paella.
River Ebro canoeing trips are available from our friends at BeniEmocions in Benifallet, and you can take a 45-minute trip up and down the river on Benifallet´s very own pleasure cruise!
Other attractions include the Templar castle in Miravet, the Art Nouveau cellar at Pinell de Brai, and the Spanish Civil War centre at Gandesa, to mention just a few.
Wine tasting in the Terra Alta and Priorat regions.
Port Aventura theme park is 50 minute´s drive.
Roman sites and museums and medieval quarter in Tarragona, art nouveau buildings, Gaudí centre and good shopping in Reus: 1 hour´s drive.
Towels and linen included (not beach towels). The house is cleaned on changeover.
Casa Raval is suitable for children although there are hard, tiled floors and stairs throughout. Parents are wholly responsible for child safety. The house is suitable for 2 families or 2 or more couples. Note that at present the water heater provides sufficient hot water for 3-4 showers, after that you will have to wait for more water to heat up.
We regret that Casa Raval is not suitable for people with limited mobility as all accommodation is on the first and second floors, accessed via staircases of approximately 15 steps.
A 25% deposit is required on booking. The balance to be paid at least 4 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. A key and breakage deposit of 200 euros is payable on arrival or beforehand, returnable once the house has been checked and keys returned.
